Outdoor Recreational and Athletic Complex Capital Campaign

Our Vision is to create a state of the art outdoor recreational and athletic complex that will benefit all students. The complex will include football/soccer fields with grandstands and outdoor lighting, a multi-lane track, a multi-sport exercise facility that includes locker rooms, and other support facilities that will be used for a variety of activities including academic, athletic, fine arts and extracurricular activities. This complex will create a world class campus recreation center providing students and staff with expanded opportunities to improve physical fitness and mental wellness, add additional learning opportunities in fine arts and academics, as well as a new space for campus events and student and community gatherings.

The building of the recreation and athletic outdoor complex will have a positive impact on every student providing them with new learning opportunities in athletics, academics, fine arts and community building. It will improve all outdoor sports experiences during practice and games for coaches, athletes, students and spectators. It will allow for a recreational event space for any fine arts school programs, events and community gatherings. As a result this complex will also advance our goal of creating a stronger community among students, families, alumni and staff.

Parkway Christian sponsors over 40 teams beginning with 1st grade soccer and culminating with 13 varsity sports

All athletes will be able to utilize the complex for practices, excersing, and games

hands on Learning

Students interested in Broadcasting will be able to get experience through broadcasting games from the press box

students interested in digital media or graphic design will be able to utilize the digital scoreboard for hands on experience

WHY?

Our Strategic Priorities

The outdoor recreational and athletic complex will be located out by the current outdoor sports fields. (Baseball, Softball, Football and Soccer Fields)

Where?

Track

The multi lane track will encircle the football/soccer field and contain high jump, long jump, pole vault, and discus areas

Exercise Building/Locker Rooms

The exercise building is an elaborate strength and conditioning facility that will include locker rooms, storage and learning opportunities for students pursuing careers in physical education or health sciences.

Stadium

The stadium will include a football/soccer field, grand stands with outdoor lighting for any night events, games, or practices. The stadium includes restrooms, concessions and hall of fame, honoring past alumni and our 50 year history. State of the art outdoor jumbotron that will be operated by students offering them hands-on learning opportunities in digital media or tv production. A press box that will allow students interested in broadcasting, communication or a career in sports to be a student sports broadcaster. A section of the stadium that will be devoted to the pep band to perform and entertain during performances, events, and athletic games. As well as opportunities for students devoted to fine arts to perform at halftime shows during games or other community events.

Usage

Parkway students, their families, the staff, alumni and even the local community will benefit from this new complex whether it is through athletics, academics or community building events or programs.
